We’ve been holed up at home working very hard on what we call the HEY KUMO’s Weather Dance Club. Borne out of a disdain towards hot prickly weather, the Weather Dance Club started life as what we would imagine were required to participate in a rain dance. We made a lightning bolt, danced in the balcony with it, and rain arrived. Emboldened, we went on to make clouds and raindrops. And because we sometimes want to dry our laundry, we made a sun as well.
So, here’s our very own grown up lightning buddy. We hand-painted the fabrics (so each one is unique!), sewed them up, embroidered our little HEY KUMO cloud on, puffed them up (the most tedious part of the process, really!) and hand-finished them. See all our lightning buddies here.
Each one of them is crafted with much love, and we really hope that they find a good home. We imagine they would make a good prop for storytelling sessions, a great companion for those weather dances, or just a nice cuddling toy.
Come meet our lightning buddies! We’re going to be at our first ever market this Saturday! We’ll be at the Christmas Pop Up Store at The 3rd Space at China Square Central B1-05 from 2-9pm. We will have stuff from our online Jotter Jotter shop as well as the new HEY KUMO creations!
