Hello! We’ll be spending this weekend as part of Public Garden at the National Museum of Singapore. We have some nice things we found in Japan as well as new travel guides from Herb Lester Associates.
The latest travel guide by Herb Lester Associates is for our favourite city: Tokyo! Written and illustration by Luis Mendo, Tokyo: A Very Brief Introduction includes some useful information (language, transportation etc) as well as write-ups for walks to 4 neighbourhoods in Tokyo: Shibuya, Sendagi, Omotesando and Ginza. Sadly, reading this has us all pining for Japan again.
We discovered some great things on our recent trip and some of them will come to the market with us! All items are available in very, very limited quantities (whatever we could carry – which wasn’t a lot). Do come down and take a look if you can, and if you can’t, follow us on Instagram for photos and updates :)
There will be free admission to the galleries as well. Public Garden has helpfully consolidated a list of exhibitions that are currently at the museum:
Being Together: Family & Portraits – Photographing with John Clang
Trading Stories: Conversations with Six Pioneering Tradesmen
Historia SG 2013 – Invisible Places: Here Yesterday, Gone Today, Remembered Tomorrow
