What happens when you have the chance to turn your passion into your second career? We follow Nikole Herriott as she visits her father Lance on his first day of retirement. He has said goodbye to his ship welder past to focus his considerable talents on his lifelong passion: wood.
HERRIOTT GRACE is a father-daughter venture. Lance Herriott makes, and Nikole Herriott photographs and markets. When Nikole moved some 3400 kilometres to Toronto, her father started sending her packages which sometimes included some of his beautifully hand carved wooden spoons. Nikole loved those spoons and thought others might appreciate them too. After some persuasion on Nikole’s part and the understanding that his work is shared with people who “understood and cared about the time and effort spent on each piece”, HERRIOTT GRACE came to be.
