Hello, it is November! This year is almost over! It’s pretty stressful how fast the year moves even when you’re keeping track. November marks 1.5 years of us starting this blog and four months of Small And Able. We still get people asking if we’re a new shop and how long we’ve been open. Now that it’s been four months, their reaction has moved on from “oh, no wonder I haven’t seen you before” to “oh, that’s quite some time.” Do we as a country have a short attention span? Yes.
We have some Christmas activities lined up in December. Theoretically, we have the whole of this month to get ready for December. Realistically, we have the rest of this month to procrastinate and anticipate next month’s panic.
One thing we’re damn pleased to have completed though is #1 of our wrapping paper designs (we aren’t really sure if we’re going to do any more this year). This is hand-drawn, then scanned for printing. We toyed with the idea of colouring the illustrations in for one brief second, then decided that we shall leave it in monochrome (and save our wrists) and let folks add colour on their own, if they want.
Just for kicks, we’ve also hidden the alphabet in our illustrations. It was a challenge, even for us, to spot all twenty six of them. At one point, we feared that we left out dear ol’ K. See if you can spot it!
Definitely going to pimp all our Christmas gifts this year with this wrapper.
