Last week was a particularly trying week, and this week started with some more bad news about the shop (it gets tiresome dealing with a problem with no cause and therefore no easy solution). So yesterday, as I was crossing the road to the bus stop, I decided that instead of going home, I shall go sit on some buses. The first bus took me to Toa Payoh, where I then took another bus, seemingly to Tampines but I hopped off at Bedok MRT for some lunch. The hawker centre was, in an annoying coincidence, closed for cleaning works so I took a walk and found a smaller food centre, ate some lacklustre soy sauce chicken noodles, headed to the bus interchange and caught a bus to Ang Mo Kio.
It was one of those days I didn’t particularly feel like exploring the place (but hey, Bedok, you’re awfully lively for a Monday afternoon and you have three supermarkets within walking distance of one another!) and only walked when I had to. The hot weather didn’t help and all I wanted was to sit in an air-conditioned bus, listen to some familiar music and zone out.
Here’s a better rest of the week, month and year.
