It was 2013, and I don’t remember what we were there for. But I remember we were happy to be in a neighbourhood we miss and that we had film cameras in our bags.
We parked at one of the Joo Chiat Road open-air car parks and just walked, mostly amidst the residential areas. I like looking at houses. It was also the day we remembered to pick up a twig for a spot of DIY we had in mind.
I think if I lived in a house, I would have a big, tall tree that grew over everything and it would be a nuisance but I would still love it. But since I don’t live in a house, I shall look at other people’s over-achieving foliage.
And at the end of it, even though we were not quite near it, we walked to Everitt Road and had a bowl of happiness. This is the Fei Fei wanton mee I like. Probably because this is the one a dear friend of mine brought me to.
