On our last full day in Tokyo, we woke early. We wanted to take a walk around where we were staying. The weather had finally cleared, it was slightly foggy but at least the sky wasn’t a dull grey. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (Tochō) was our destination, but we were going to take our time to get there.
The Tochō has two observation decks – one in the North tower, and the other in the South. Both are open to visitors, and you take the elevator from the ground floor up to the 45th floor where it’s about 202m up. We went up to both decks.
The view is splendid.
