2015 left suddenly; the colder and wetter weather we associate with December did not last for more than a week. We spent December confused, and also semi-mired in the sense of doom economists, governments and terrorists cast us into.
While it may feel like there really isn’t much to look forward to, I suppose this feeling is one you get some years. To me, 2016 seems to call for fortitude and prudence, all at once. It may be a trying year, we don’t know yet. But whatever comes, what sets us apart from despair is hope and the ability to count our blessings. Trite, but here’s to an okay 2016, and if it works out better for you, go out there and have a smashing time.
Happy new year.
