What’s been up lately around our house lately:
This is the newest addition to our home: a terrarium we bought from Green Banana‘s stall at the last Public Garden. We have some luck with cacti (see below), so we are optimistic about this one!
Ikamaru the cactus was bought from Cold Storage and rehoused in this mini watering can. Ikamaru has weathered plenty and we are continually amazed at its resistance to holidays, thunderstorms and the occasional bouts of negligence.
We got Rob the Basil from Japan, and sadly, it isn’t doing very well anymore. Rob started out brilliantly and we had every reason to think that soon we would enjoy the herbs of our labour. Unfortunately, it started to decline in the last week or so (damn you weather) and our Melaka trip over the weekend might just have killed it. Who the hell would think of a plant caretaker! :(
I bought a stick of this lucky bamboo from Ikea for the mothership and one for us too (huat!) during Chinese New Year. This is doing exceedingly well. I hope this spells great fortune and prosperity for our new project, haha.
Wally was a housewarming gift from a friend. It didn’t come like this. Instead, it had a rather majestic crown. I am not really sure what we did/did not do to ruin Wally.
